Hafjell became known to the world when it hosted the alpine skiing events at the Lillehammer Winter Olympics in 1994. Today, Hafjell is a modern ski resort with 31 runs, 16 lifts and one of Norway's most family-friendly ski centres. Its location near Lillehammer provides easy train access from Oslo, and combined with neighbouring Kvitfjell and Sjusjøen it is one of Eastern Norway's very best winter paradises.
